Activities and accommodation in Ikaria for solo travelers and digital nomads

Staying at the Ikarian Center WITHOUT participating in Greek language lessons may be interesting if you are traveling alone, but you want to meet people and have a healthy socialization with them. You can join the small group of ouir Greek language students living in our guesthouse and participate with them in activities, such as cooking evenings, songs, traditional dance lessons, film screenings, discussions, lectures and visits to attractions on the island. Some weeks of the year you can also participate in hikes and olive picking.

You can stay with us for a period of at least one week from February to the end of November. During this time, activities include traditional dance classes, cooking evenings, film screenings, lectures on the history and nature of the island, visits to local artisans, participation in festivals and other events organized by local communities. A list of the major festivals of Ikaria can be found here

Outdoor activities: Hiking and olive picking.

The area is ideal if you want to walk in the mountains. A network of marked paths and dirt roads without car traffic stretches across the area and challenges the visitor to walk and explore it. Some weeks in spring and autumn you can walk with us on the trails of the area or pick olives with us (in October or November)

Co-working & Co-living

Digital nomads can work in the common areas of the guesthouse all together, thus having the experience of co-living and co-working.
